How will your interactive learning resource specifically ensure that the needs of all learners can be met?
Our group’s topic is about Artificial Intelligence. We often call it AI. It is not a strange topic in our life, especially young people. We choose it because it is a hot topic in the world. We are experiencing the AI products now, except for some areas without electricity and Internet. AI is the embodiment of technological progress and it is related to almost everyone’s life.
AI is a cosmopolitan topic and everyone would like to follow its news. Our learning resources considers different types of people, especially for children and older people who have less knowledge about technology. We set an introduction to them. The introduction has two versions. The text version is using the simplest words to explain the concepts of AI. The other one is the video version. Most children or even adults have fewer patients to read texts. We have found some videos which only have 2 or 3 minutes of animation. If designers want to make them willing to learn, they must first make them interested in AI. Our introduction aims to let people feel free and no sense of distance from AI.
Our main content is the development of AI. We will give some real-life examples from past life to nowadays. We will use data to show the positive influence of the development of AI, such as in business, politics and people’s lives. Besides the positive effect, we will also show some negative aspects. These also have text and video versions. Our goal is not to let them fully understand AI but have a clear cognition of AI. No matter the age they are, everyone can know that the development of AI is the result of the common progress of society, economy and politics. From the past to the future, people cannot leave it. Therefore, our learning resources want to introduce AI and explain AI’s status in life. In the final part, we also list some relevant movies about AI, including animated movies for children and commercial films for adults.
